Yamhill Food Bank

As one of 20 regional food banks that make up the statewide Oregon Food Bank network, the Yamhill Food Bank serves all Yamhill County residents who are in need of emergency food assistance. Surplus and donated food is distributed through 26 organizations including 12 emergency food box pantries, 11 group homes, 2 soup kitchens, and 1 gleaning group. Other activities include: coordinating food and fund drives and working on programs that address the root causes of hunger. In 2006-07, the Food Bank distributed 668,876 pounds of food—reaching 57,716 people with 20,006 food boxes, and another 58,601 people with hot meals.
