Youth Outreach Services

The Newberg Dundee Youth Outreach Services successfully addresses the needs of at-risk youth, including homeless and runaways, by creating partnerships with public and private agencies, community groups and individuals, and youth themselves to fund and implement creative, supportive and cost-effective programs. Programs include: case management, basic needs, youth development, after-school activities, prevention services, and educational programming. In Newberg, an innovative youth-driven “Drop-in Center” provides a safe place for evening and weekend recreational activities. In 2006-07, Youth Services outreached to a total of 355 youth, while 128 youth used the computer lab and the drop-in safe evening space, and 122 youth utilized the study hall services.
