- LIHEAP - Applications available after october 1st
(Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program)
Senior and Disabled Household applications for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program for the 2019-20 heating season are currently being accepted. This program is available to customers that meet the income guidelines. Assistance may be directed to the primary heat source in the home. Applications are processed on a first-come-first-served basis.
The Federal Government may not approve the allocation for LIHEAP funding until Fall or after the first of the New Year. If YCAP experiences such delays in receiving the grant award, the agency may only commit received funding directly to customer accounts. During delays, YCAP may continue to process applications but place them in pending status until additional funding allocations are received. It is extremely important to continue providing payment to your utility and/or to make payment arrangements if experiencing difficulty.
- OEAP - Appointments Available
(Oregon Energy Assistance Program) is for PGE customers only.
A limited number of appointments are available weekly. To request an appointment, please call 503-687-1483 to leave a voicemail for call back, no earlier than 8:00 AM beginning on Mondays. Calls are processed first come, first serve. Please be available to receive this call back. OEAP qualifying criteria includes income eligibility. Priority status may be given to households with no power, a shut-off notice or medical equipment. YCAP receives a monthly allocation to serve a limited number of households.
- Olga & OEF - Funding has been exhausted
(Oregon Low-Income Gas Assistance) is for NWNG customers only.
(Oregon Energy Fund) for PGE customers primarily.
OEF assistance may be available to households and individuals who make 70% or less than the statewide median income. Note that you may qualify for OEF assistance if your income slightly exceeds the guidelines for OEAP and LIHEAP funds.
- SNAP Application Assistance - Appointments available
YCAP intake staff is available to assist with completing &/or updating the household SNAP (supplemental nutrition assistance program) benefits received through DHS (Dept. of Human Services).
